What is your research project?

Neurocognitive Outcomes in Congenital Heart Disease

Why is this research important?

Congenital heart disease (CHD) is the most common type of birth defect. With medical advancements, children born with CHD are surviving at higher rates. However, these children are at-risk for neurodevelopmental consequences with impact on development, learning, and/or behaviors. Studying these neurocognitive outcomes will assist in early identification of concerns to assist with treatment options to help these children live to their best potential.
