Watkins is an undergraduate student in the Materials Science and Engineering program graduating after the winter 2023 semester. His participation in UROP Engineering Summer Research Fellowship summer of 2022 helped solidify his choice to pursue a PhD after graduation. He is currently undecided on where he will attend next fall to pursue his PhD, but is deciding between UC Berkeley and MIT. Additionally, Watkins is a member of the Men's Gymnastics team at Michigan and an avid baker.
