In accordance with university-wide measures to reduce the spread of COVID-19, all RC academic advising appointments will be held virtually.
RC academic advisors are available for appointments Monday thru Friday. They are faculty and staff members in the RC and will help you sort out both RC and LSA requirements as well as any other problems or concerns you have regarding your academic progress or adjustment to college. You may call 647-2745, stop by the Academic Services Office (1813 East Quad) to schedule an appointment, or schedule an appointment using the link below. You are not assigned to a specific advisor because most have limited hours due to teaching obligations. You should feel free to schedule appointments with one specific advisor if you would prefer; however, other advisors are ready and willing to meet with you if your schedules are more compatible. It is expected that all first year students will see an advisor at least once during their first semester.
2019-2020 Academic Advisors:
This is Charlie Murphy, Director of RC Academic Services
The best part of Charlie's job is his daily contact with the RC's amazing students, faculty and fellow staff members. Before finding his place in the RC, Charlie worked in a variety of fields, from ditch-digger to high school teacher to music store manager. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and Religious Studies as well as a Masters of Arts in Teaching form the University of Virginia, and he loves dogs.
You can reach him at firstname.lastname@example.org, or in his office at RC Academic Services, 1813 East Quad (near Greene Lounge)
