About
Becca Pickus is a lecturer in the Social Theory and Practice (STP) Program, where she teaches Inside-Out Prison Exchange Program courses; first-year writing seminars; and Prison Creative Arts Project (PCAP) classes. Becca is an RC alumna (STP and Creative Writing) and received her MSW from the University of Michigan School of Social Work, where she focused on trauma, grief and loss.
Becca has been a Graduate Student Instructional Consultant with the Center for Research on Learning and Teaching for the past 5 years, and is passionate about the study and practice of critical pedagogies; decarceration activism; restorative justice; and trauma-responsive practices.
