Podcast Episode: Samara Jackson Tobey and Native American Heritage Month
The Office of Multi-Ethnic Student Affairs (MESA) and the Native American Student Association (NASA) come together to present the Native American Heritage Month (NAHM) events and programming this November. At the center of this project is RC sophomore, Samara Jackson Tobey. In episode 8 of the RC Podcast (29:14), we get to know her on many levels: as a member of the Mashpee Wampanoag tribe, as an athlete with Michigan's Women's Rugby team, as an activist for native peoples and cultures, as a healer, and as a member of the tight-knit community in the Residential College.
