On Monday, February 12, ELI held a student to student event to celebrate Mardi Gras. The event was organized and led by ELI’s amazing student staff.

Students learned about the American traditions of Mardi Gras, crafted festive masks to celebrate in style, and tasted Pączki - traditional Polish Mardi Gras treats, similar to donuts, very popular in Southeast Michigan - while playing games and meeting new people!

ELI Student to Student events are fun, interactive events planned and led by U-M students to help international students meet people and make connections. We often plan our themes around holidays and American cultural events.
