ELI is delighted to share the news that Emmanuel Orozco Castellanos has been named a 2024 Rhodes Scholar. Emmanuel joined ELI in Winter 2020 as a UROP intern to work with Lecturer IV Pamela Bogart on her "Going Blue," online minicourse designed to help students who speak English as an additional language thrive at Michigan. "From needs assessment to activity design to producing compelling video materials, Emmanuel made this new ELI offering possible" says Bogart. "Throughout the years since, Emmanuel has continued to generously share his insights, his energy, and his creativity to expand ELI's capacity to foster a welcoming Michigan community."
