Graduate Language Clinics
The English Language Institute's Language Clinics provide international graduate students, GSIs, scholars, faculty, and staff with one-on-one language and academic support. Clinics are staffed by ELI lecturers or by GSIs working under close supervision of experienced faculty.
Clinics are short term resources designed for students who have completed ELI courses or who are referred by an ELI advisor or faculty member. They are not intended to take the place of an ELI course. No academic credit is awarded for Clinic participation.
Improve your spoken English pronunciation, fluency, and accuracy.
Get help identifying your writing strengths and weaknesses, as well as guided self-help designed to help you become a critical, independent writer.
This Clinic is a free service open offering one-on-one support for writing and speaking to students in U-M’s Taubman College of Architecture and Urban Planning.
Language Support for Undergraduates
Undergraduate students can receive one-on-one language support in ELI's Speaking or Writing Studios. More information on Undergraduate Studio policies, guidelines, and appointment scheduling are available here.
