Establishing a strong social network is key to academic and professional success, and it supports your overall well being too! But many students can find it a challenge to establish a network, especially if they are new to U.S. culture. Learning how to comfortably make small talk is a great first step in developing personal and professional connections. It also helps you excel in your academic work, integrate with life on campus, and take advantage of U-M resources. This workshop will provide tips and strategies for networking and small talk. We will practice these skills in small groups, preparing you to make your own connections with friends, professors, and future colleagues
