Paleontology

 

Pairing your major with a minor in Paleontology prepares you for positions in paleontology, education or museum studies! 


Requirements: 15 Credits

  1. One intro course (3 to 6 credits) taken from one of the following groups:
    • Paleontology-oriented: EARTH 103, 106, 125
    • Geology-oriented: EARTH 116, 118 & 119, 120, 149, 201, 205, 206
  2. Core Courses
    • EARTH 418 & 419
  3. Upper-Level Electives - remaining 5 to 8 credits to be elected from the following:
    • EARTH 313, 431, 437, 444, 445, 498 (no more than 3 credits), 506, 510, 536 (no more than 1 credit)
    • ENVIRON 431
    • EEB 390, 445
    • Alternative class with permission of Earth advisor
