Geology

Pairing your major with a minor in Geology prepares you for positions in energy production, carbon capture and storage, mining and mineral resources, environmental protection, climate change and more!


Requirements: 15 Credits

  1. One intro course taken from the below group:
    • EARTH 116, 119, 120, or 205/206. Students who register for Earth 119, 120, or 205/206 are strongly encouraged to also enroll in Earth 118.
  2. Core Course Choose one or more of: 
    • EARTH 305, EARTH 310, EARTH 314, EARTH 315, EARTH 351.
  3. Upper-Level Electives
    • The remainder of the credits must be elected from EARTH 380, 417, 418/419, 422, 436 (2 credits max), 440, 442, 449, 467, 483, 494 (1 credit max)
