Earth Sciences

Pairing your major with a minor in Earth Sciences broadly prepares you for employment in geosciences or geoscience-related positions such as petroleum, mining, the environmental field and many more! 

 

Requirements: 15 Credits

  1. One intro course taken from one of the following groups: 
    • Courses with lab: EARTH 116, 118/119, 120, 201, 218/219, 222/223
    • Courses without lab: EARTH 119, 125, 205/206, 219
  2. General Interest Course
    • Up to 4 credits may be elected from 200-level and up courses in Earth and Environmental Sciences, including 200-level courses listed in Category 1 (above).
  3. Upper-Level Electives
    • The remainder of the credits must be elected from 300 and 400-level courses in Earth and Environmental Sciences.
