The SLC tutor program will be offering all online tutor support for the Spring 2020 and Summer 2020 term. Please see each drop in and appointment based page for information on how to access tutors in drop in or appointment based online settings.
The SLC provides Drop-in peer tutoring for all students currently enrolled in five introductory science courses: Biology 171 and 172, Chemistry 130, 210, and 215.
In addition, the College of Literature Science and the Arts has funded the SLC to offer appointment-based, small group tutoring for students affiliated with the Comprehensive Studies Program (CSP), HAIL Scholars, Douglass Houghton Scholars Program (DHSP), POSSE, Office of Academic Multicultural Initiatives (OAMI), as well as transfer students, students registered with Services for Students with Disabilities (SSD), students on academic probation, and Kessler Scholars who are enrolled in Biology 171, 172, 222, 225, 305, Chemistry 130, 210, 215, 230, 260/261, 351, MCDB 310, Physics 135, 140, 235 and 240. Appointment-based tutoring is available to eligible students on a first come, first serve basis.
SLC Peer Tutors are trained undergraduates with a demonstrated mastery of the course content. Tutors provide comprehensive academic support, including study strategies, understanding and mastering course concepts, problem-solving, and exam preparation.

Spring and Summer Term Free Math Tutors in the SLC
Math tutors are available every Monday through Friday from 11:00am - 4:00pm from May 5-June 22 and July 1-August 18. SLC Math tutors can cover content in Math 105, Math 115, Math 116, Math 215, and Math 216.
All tutoring services are now occurring in an online format using Zoom. If you are interested in meeting with a SLC Math tutor, please fill out this google form: Summer 2020 Math Tutor Request form DURING drop in hours. If you complete the google form outside of drop in hours, you will not be contacted by a tutor. Once you have filled out the google form during drop in hours, a student staff member will email you a link to access Zoom.
