Departmental Advising

Undergraduate advising is offered by many units on campus.  For example, the Newnan Academic Advising Center offers general advice from orientation through graduation, and the Career Center assists students seeking postgraduate employment.  The department of economics offers advising services specifically for economics students.

Declare an Economics Major

To declare your major in Economics you must see a concentration adviser or Olga Mustata, the Undergraduate Program Coordinator. 

 

Obtain a major or a minor release

During Fall and Winter Terms: See Olga Mustata, the Undergraduate Program Coordinator to make an appointment.  She is available on a walk-in basis on Mondays and Thursdays, 2:00 – 3:00 pm. You can also schedule an appointment with an Economics faculty adviser.

 

For joint degree students

During Fall and Winter Terms: Contact the Undergraduate Program Coordinator to make an appointment. She is available on a walk-in basis on Mondays and Thursdays, 2-3pm. You can also make an appointment with an Economics faculty adviser.

 

If you are Prospective Student

Contact the Undergraduate Program Coordinator to make an appointment. During Fall and Winter Terms: she is available on a walk-in basis on Mondays and Thursdays, 2-3pm.

See an adviser at the Career Center or a concentration adviser:

If you plan to study abroad

To be sure that you receive appropriate credit toward your concentration or minor in economics, secure pre-approval of your study abroad from a concentration adviser.

Consult a concentration adviser and your teachers (faculty and GSIs).
