Jon Ferrando is a seasoned Fortune 200 senior executive with over 25 years of experience leading entrepreneurial growth and large public companies. He currently serves as CEO and President of RV Retailer, LLC, a company that he co-founded in 2018 to create a leading recreational vehicle retail enterprise in the United States. RV Retailer owns Motor Home Specialist, the #1 volume motor home dealer in the United States with over 2,200 RVs retailed annually. Motor Home Specialist generates over $275 million in annual revenue from its flagship 80-acre RV sales and service facility in the Dallas-Fort Worth market. Previously, Jon served as Executive Vice President - General Counsel, Corporate Development and Human Resources of AutoNation, Inc. Jon was a key leader on the executive team of AutoNation, the nation's largest automotive retailer with over $20 billion of annual revenue, that drove strategy and execution of AutoNation's extraordinary growth phase from start-up to a $20 billion enterprise.
Prior to joining AutoNation in 1996, Jon was a corporate attorney in Chicago, Illinois with Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom, a leading global corporate law firm, where he represented large corporate and investment banking clients in a variety of mergers and acquisitions, securities offerings and other significant transactions. Jon received a JD cum laude from Harvard Law School in 1991, where he received the John M. Olin Prize in Law and Economics, and an AB in Economics with High Honors and High Distinction from the University of Michigan in 1988.
Jon has also served as Chair of the Board of Trustees of the United Way of Broward County and is currently Vice Chair of the Board of Trustees of the Museum of Discovery & Science in Fort Lauderdale, Florida (450,000+ visitors a year), where he led a $35 million capital campaign resulting in a major museum expansion. He served for over a decade on the Florida Chamber Board of Directors, and as the Broward County Regional Chair of the Florida Chamber. Jon co-chairs the South Florida Leadership Council for the University of Michigan's $4 billion Victors for Michigan Campaign.
