Seminars, Colloquia & Lectures

The Mathematics Department offers a wide variety of special annual lectures, academic seminars and colloquia aimed to enhance the scholarly pursuits of students and faculty here at the University of Michigan. Mathematics seminars cover topics ranging from Combinatorics to Financial/Actuarial Mathematics to Teaching Mathematics. While most of the seminars offered by the Math Department are geared towards faculty members, there are a number of student led seminars more appropriate for graduate and undergraduate students. A Colloquium on Tuesdays is aimed at a more general mathematical audience.

Seminars generally meet after 3:00 p.m. during the week. The Colloquium is usually scheduled for 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. For details about where and when individual seminars meet, please use the link below to go to the main seminars page.
