Why did you want to become a Student Assistant? I wanted to return as a Student Assistant because this community really helped me last year, and I want to keep it going for incoming students this year. This community made it easier for me to make close connections and find some really good friends last year, and the staff created a warm, welcoming environment to meet new people in. I remember how much that meant to me last year, and want to pass it on to others!
What hopes do you have for the upcoming year? I hope we can do a bunch of fun, in-person events (while still staying safe, of course) and create a great sense of community!
Is there anything you'd like to say to future LSWA students? Don’t be afraid to start a conversation! Everyone else you’re going to meet in LSWA, in your classes, even in the dining hall, is just as unsure as you are. Break the tension! You might even find a new friend, which is always good to have in class.
