We hope to see you April 5 & 7, 2024!

Build a giant puppet, make a crazy costume, or bring an old pan to bang on, to help celebrate the annual FestiFools spectacle on Main Street in downtown Ann Arbor! This beloved public art tradition was founded by Mark Tucker, our Art Director, in 2007, and features bizarro, street-sized "puppets" all created and animated by LSWA students and community members! Any student at the University of Michigan can take a course to make a giant puppet in Mark Tucker’s “Art in Public Spaces” course, offered through LSWA every winter semester. This course also fulfills the creative expression requirement for LS&A students. FestiFools 2024 is themed FestiFables and will be held on Main Street, April 7th at 4pm!

FoolMoon is a light-filled night of spectacle art and Foolish fun! Each year brings fantastical luminary sculptures created by students and community members to light up the night. FoolMoon 2024, FoolBloom, will be held on April 5th from dusk to midnight. The event will be located on Washington St. with more information on Constellation Station locations coming soon. Follow FestiFools Studio on Facebook to stay updated on Luminary making creative opportunities every weekend in March!
