Why did you want to become an SA? Coming from somewhere so far away, I spent my first few weeks at Michigan very anxious about the year ahead. Because of that time I realized that I wanted to use that experience to help other freshmen with their college anxieties. I also felt particularly inspired by everyone in LSWA—they all truly love this program, and I wanted to share in that.

What hopes do you have for the upcoming year? I hope that we can learn to adapt, as a community, to the unique situation presented to us by 2020. I’m excited to see how students apply their art to our changing world, and I hope that I can help exercise their creative muscles and watch them grow as college students.

Is there anything you'd like to say to future LSWA students? This program is so truly special, and I hope you are able to realize and utilize that. The people here are so passionate about what they do and create and about what YOU do and create! This is a space where we all are learning to grow and love as artists.
