Shelley Manis

Hello!  You can call me many things--"Shelley" if you're friendly and casual, "doc" if you're a little bit irreverent, or "Dr. Manis" if you feel more formal.  Whatever you do, just don't call me "Mrs." I'm not the marrying kind, and if I ever become so, I won't give up my name. ;) I've been teaching, rhetoric, television, and live performance.  In my life outside the classroom, I'm the campus co-chair of our non-tenure-track union (LEO: Lecturers' Employee Organization), a cat lover (ask me about me cat if you want!), a dramaturg (ask me what that means if you're interested, nerd out with me if you're my people!), a runner, an avid boogie boarder, a TV aficionado, and a ghost enthusiast. <-- You heard that right.
