Driving Increased Collaboration and Community Representation in Policymaking Spaces
My OS Pathway focuses on the intersection of government, consulting and organizational management, with the goal of advancing equity and access to policymaking spaces for historically underserved communities. I believe that creating organizational pathways for equitable education opportunities and political representation is essential to developing legislation that effectively responds to all Americans' needs.
By double majoring in Organizational Studies and Political Science, I hope to gain a better understanding of how American legislation is shaped, passed, and implemented. I would also like to learn about how the actual implementation of legislation may fall short of its intended outcomes, as well as what can be done to minimize this and create impactful, equity-driven outcomes for all. In the future, I hope to pursue a career in government affairs, strategic communications or public sector consulting.
