Mariana Canepa

Mariana is originally from Mexico City, she is currently pursuing an MS/MBA in Environmental Science with a focus on Sustainable Systems. Mariana is passionate about the intersection of business and sustainability, decarbonizing supply chains, and social business impact projects. Before joining the Erb Institute, she spent a year and a half as a Quality Engineer in a Tier 1 Auto Industry Supplier in Michigan and more than 6 years in the food and beverage industry in Mexico working in the Corporate Responsibility Teams of companies like Coca-Cola and Danone. This past summer, she interned at Meijer and is currently working on a Capstone project designing the supplier engagement strategy to reduce Scope 3 carbon emissions. She holds a B.E. in Industrial Engineering from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). 

During her free time, Mariana enjoys spending time with her partner and their chocolate lab Ringo, taking care of her plants at home, dancing, and practicing yoga.
