Intersection number and intersection points of closed geodesics on hyperbolic surfaces
Monday, October 10, 2022
4:00-5:00 PM
3096 East Hall Map
In this talk, I will talk about the (geometric) intersection number between closed geodesics on hyperbolic surface X. Specifically, I will discuss the optimum upper bound on the intersection number in terms of hyperbolic length when X is compact. I also talk about the equidistribution of the intersection points between closed geodesics when X is finite volume. Speaker(s): Tina Torkaman (Harvard)
