We will define and compute examples of R-polynomials, which were first introduced by Kazhdan and Lusztig. These polynomials give the point count of Richardson varieties over a finite field. We will also discuss connections between R-polynomials and HOMFLYPT polynomials. Speaker(s): Amanda Schwartz (UM)
