Student Commutative Algebra Seminar

Introduction to Stanley--Reisner Theory
Thursday, November 19, 2020
5:00-6:00 PM
Off Campus Location
Stanley--Reisner theory directly links the worlds of combinatorics and commutative algebra by providing a correspondence between simplicial complexes and squarefree monomial ideals. We'll introduce this correspondence, and discuss how it can be used to compute associated primes and Hilbert series. https://umich.zoom.us/j/99835724541 Speaker(s): Teresa Yu (University of Michigan)
