Two LHSP students were among the most recent winners of the Hopwood Underclassmen Awards

Laura Dzubay (LHSP 2015-16) won a Hopwood Underclassmen Fiction Award.

Serena Scholz (LHSP 2016-17) won a Roy W. Cowden Memorial Fellowship.

The winners will be officially announced at the Hopwood Underclassmen Awards Ceremony on Friday, January 27, at 3:30 p.m. in the Rackham Amphitheatre (fourth floor of hte Rackham Building).  Tracy K. Smith will give a poetry reading following the announcement of the awards.  She is the author of three collections of poetry, The Body's Question, Duende, and Life on Mars (winner of the Pulitzer Prize for Poetry in 2012), and a memoir, Ordinary Light (a finalist for the 2015 National Book Award in Nonfiction). She teaches creative writing at Princeton University.
