Change it Up! brings bystander intervention skills to first-year students for the purpose of building safe, inclusive, and respectful communities. Change it Up! is based on a nationally recognized four-step bystander intervention model that will develop your skills and confidence when intervening in harmful situations. Change it Up! explores how your identities and experiences impact your interactions inside and outside of the classroom.
Students are encouraged to attend this LSWA Change it Up! date and time in effort to participate in these programs with their community.
Students should save the date for the LSWA Change it Up! session in their calendars. Students will receive an email in August from First Year Experience (FYE) with the link to register.
If students are not able to attend this session, they are still required to attend both Relationship Remix and Change it Up! and will need to attend the workshops on another date at another time (there are over 200 other options).
