Conferences offer faculty, postdocs, and students a forum to showcase their research as well as promote professional development (through workshops and seminars) and networking. We encourage and support graduate students to participate in conferences through our own DEI mini-grant program (especially geared towards supporting students and community members to attend conferences for underrepresented groups, such as NABG and SACNAS) and through Rackham’s travel grant program.
