Attend Conferences: Consider Presenting Papers at Relevant Conferences
- Graduate students can get funding from Rackham to attend conferences if they are presenting a paper: Rackham Conference Travel Grant.
- Each year, the Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences attends the Geological Society of America (GSA) and American Geophysical Union (AGU) annual meetings in the Fall semester.
- Students in the department can attend the Annual Michigan Geophysical Union Symposium in the Spring semester
Network With Peers to Find Out About Their Experiences
- GeoClub: Meetings are monthly and there are opportunities to participate in field trips and outreach events.
LSA Opportunity Hub
The University of Michigan’s LSA Opportunity Hub is a transformative career exploration center for undergraduate students of the liberal arts and sciences. They work with students as they develop their aspirations and professional identities, provide access to internships and funding to support those experiences, and connect them to employers and U-M’s extensive network of alums. They offer coaching, interactive courses, networking opportunities, and internship resources.
