Joining the U-M faculty in 2012, OS Associate Professor Sara Soderstrom has become a staple within the OS community. In her time at the university, Professor Soderstrom has taught a wide array of students in both Organizational Studies and in U-M’s Program in the Environment.
We are happy to celebrate Professor Sara Soderstrom’s recent 2023 Distinguished Educator Award granted to her by ONE, the Organizations and the Natural Environment (ONE) division of the Academy of Management. This prestigious award celebrates teaching accomplishments in the classroom and in educational publications. Specifically, this educator award recognizes Professor Soderstrom's incredible work and contributions to building inclusive, cohesive communities on campus.
“By placing an emphasis on building an inclusive classroom by integrating diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts with sustainability in fostering teamwork across all courses, Sara has had a profound impact on her students. All while mentoring students through research opportunities and introducing them to professional networks such as FoodLab Detroit and the Environmental Defense Fund,” the ONE Division writes.
