Want to help recruit students to the OS program? Do you like fostering a sense of community amongst your OS peers? Will you be a senior in 2012-13? If you answered yes to these questions, consider applying to be an OS peer mentor. Peer mentors advise prospective students, assist current students in developing their Concentration Pathways, and help build the OS community.

Commitment: five hours per week.
Pay rate: $10/hour. Work study funding is not required to apply for this position.
Please submit a resume and cover letter that describes your qualifications for and interest in this position. Prior experience in mentoring, advising, or teaching is desirable, but other relevant work is acceptable. We will consider students who plan to be registered for classes on the AA campus for the ENTIRE 2012-2013 academic year.

Cover letter and resume due January 20, 5:00 pm to Melissa Eljamal (eljamalm@umich.edu). Interviews to be conducted in week of January 30.

  Final selections will be made by mid-February. Initial training will begin in mid-March with more training in early fall.

Note: At least one member of the peer mentor team must be present at the orientation for newly admitted OS students on March 28.
