Writing Support Services

Sweetland Center for Writing's Writing Workshop and Peer Writing Center begin their Spring hours on May 7th. Writing Workshop wraps up on June 24th and the Peer Writing Center shortly after on the 27th.

We pick right back up for the Summer with both services opening on July 1st and closing on August 13th.

At the Peer Writing Center, undergraduate students from any major, at any stage of the writing process can get one-to-one assistance on any kind of writing, personal or academic from Sweetland-trained, undergraduate Peer Writing Consultant. The PWC offers 45-minute Video Meetings (Google Meet) with consultants and Asynchronous Written Feedback consultations. No in-person meetings for Spring/Summer.

At Writing Workshop, undergraduate and graduate students receive writing support on course-related, academic writing from U-M Sweetland faculty. We offer in-person and online consultations for Writing Workshop.

All appointments are scheduled online and you'll find more information on these services at the following pages. Undergraduate Writing Support page and graduate student Writing Workshop page

Please review the guidelines prior to scheduling an appointment.

*** Recent grads seeking writing support with application materials, resumes, etc., can schedule one appointment per term at the Peer Writing Center. One appointment = 1 video meeting or 1 Asynchronous Written Feedback appointment, not one of both.
