Major/Minor: Sociology Major

What inspired you to major in Sociology?

I didn’t know what sociology was until freshman year of college, so when I took that first intro class with Terry (Sociology 100) is when I knew sociology was for me.

What classes have you most enjoyed?

Sociology 305 with professor Zubrzycki and my GSI Jacob Caponi were amazing! I also really enjoyed Sociology 345 with PJ.

Have you participated in undergraduate research, fieldwork, or an internship experience?

I have not yet participated but I am planing to do so this upcoming summer. I am currently looking for an internship.

What do you hope to do after graduating from the University of Michigan?

I hope to go to graduate school in hopes of becoming a professor and further my research to a topic that isn’t officially decided, but I wanna change the world with my thinking and knowledge!

Do you have advice for prospective Soc majors in this moment?

Think BIG. Never stop learning and engaging in sociology. Also don’t ever give up on your dreams. There is a lot of problems and struggles in society but only people like you are going to be the ones to change it !
