Lauren reflects on her semester in Geneva

The train rolled past the crystal turquoise lakes the mountains rolled into view. I had never seen an environment so untouched before, the magnitude of the trees alone attested to this. Wandering about the towns, hopping on and off the train, the winter faerie-scape left everyone in high spirits and in awe. As the sun set into the mountains we ventured to a hot spring to soak our worked bodies in between the Swiss Alps, needless to say it was an incredible sight.

Elliane reflects on her semester in Geneva, Switzerland

In the beginning, it was underwhelming. That was the only word that I could find to describe the experience. For me, I had been planning my study abroad for a ridiculously long time. Through all this time of planning, I had created expectations. Everyone told me how I would probably be homesick, overwhelmed, and overall disoriented once I got abroad. But, no one described the initial disappointment associated with the reality.
