February AEM Update

 (version 5.4.0)

On February 20, 2020, the Web Applications and Services Team deployed the 5.4.0 update for the Adobe Experience Manager platform. Included in this update was the following:

Fixes

• ”On hover” behavior for Tile Component when set to Search 

• Form submission errors when using the Self-Edit Profile form.

• People Gallery page position when paging through profiles  

Improvements

• Updated the Text and Image Component’s RTE Icons to be consistent to Text Component.

• Updated Google Portal Calendar to allow for past event display

• Updated the All Service Component to hide Child Service Detail Pages

• Added Image Icons for all AEM Templates; Updated the Template names

• Added Alignment options for Image Captions

• Updated the DAM to allow for upload of Animated Gifs; Added error message to Animated Gif Component for Gifs larger than 1MB.

Touch UI Transition

• Updated default start point for “Select Path” on various components.

• Deprecated the Sub Page, Sub Page No Nav, and News Article Templates*

• Reordered Page Property Tabs

• Included required fields for LSA News Article and Profile to display upon page creation

• Updated Asset Properties

  • Bigger Description/Caption box

  • Added Alignment options for Captions

New Feature

• Display of ITS Status Feed on Technology Services Website.

• LSA Unit Footer Component for AEM customizable Templates

Note to Editors:

Even with the deprecation of the Sub Page, Sub Page No Nav, and News Article Templates, editors are still able to edit any pages currently using these templates. However, we are asking Editors to create new pages with the LSA Sub Page, LSA Sub Page No Nav, and the LSA News Article. These templates have more features that are available in the Touch UI, for which training is in the final stages of development. You can still use the Classic UI when creating and managing content on these new templates. If you are interested in learning more about the Touch UI, please visit our video library.
