December AEM Update (version 5.3.0)
On December 5, 2019, the Web Applications and Services Team deployed the version 5.3.0 update for the Adobe Experience Manager platform. Included in this update was the following:
Bug Fixes
Fixed the Home Icon at the mobile level for AEM Templates
Improvements
Updated Sitemap files to include individual event pages for SEO
Honors Italics (represented by * in Happening @ Michigan), paragraph spacing, and URLs will be honored on the AEM page.
Updated AEM Alert Banner to include DPPS Alerts
Removed “Target” option from Classic UI
Updated Image Component for a consistent Caption look
Added Visible dialogue indicators for Animated GIF, Audio, External, and YouTube
Updated Fields in both the Profile Page Properties and Front-end form for consistency.
Touch UI Transition
Updated the LSA News Article and the News Article for the Touch UI. Hero Image is now on the page and not in the Page Properties.
Added message regarding columns retiring in the next code release. Message is in both the Classic and Touch UI dialogue boxes.
Removed “Half” option for Button in (Touch UI Only)
Notes for Editors:
Retired the Column Component.
The Columns component can be deleted on any page and the Home Page
New Columns components may not be added
No new components may be added to existing instances of Columns components
Established default sizes for components in the layout containers (Touch UI Only)
