We All Wonder
Everyone wonders. While the things we're curious about and the experiences and backgrounds we have as individuals differ, we all share in imagining a better future. Diversity is essential to producing groundbreaking research and providing a world-class liberal arts education, and we are committed to making LSA an inclusive, equitable, and collaborative space to learn, teach, work, and discover.
Join us for “Just Community: A Reading and Action Program for Racial Justice,” where we reflect on systemic racism in America and work together to create a stronger, more inclusive, and more equitable society.
DEI and Anti-Racism Strategic Planning and Progress
In support of our commitment to a campus environment where all students, faculty, and staff feel welcomed and valued, the college developed and began working towards a long-term strategic plan for fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion for all members of our academic community.
In 2020, the college convened a task force charged with creating a clear statement of vision and goals for anti-racism in LSA that could help catalyze and institutionalize anti-racist policies and practices as central to the college’s mission.
The LSA Collegiate Fellows Program is an innovative faculty recruitment program that selects top scholars with a strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion to enhance the overall intellectual and educational experience for students, staff, and faculty.
Building a diverse, equitable, and inclusive environment requires ongoing, diligent, and conscious effort from everyone in the LSA community. We invite you to use these pages as a resource to get involved, learn more, find support, and connect with others.
