Anne Ruggles Gere has won a CRLT Provost's Teaching Innovation Prize for the M-Write project. M-Write increases learning in large enrollment introductory courses by requiring students to translate key concepts into real-life situations via writing.

Gere is an Arthur F. Thurnau Professor and Gertrude Buck Collegiate Professor and serves as chair of the Joint PhD Program in English and Education.
