Yopie Prins’ Ladies Greek Victorian Translation of Tragedy has won the Seventh Annual Robert Lowry Patten Award for outstanding contribution to British Literary Studies of the Nineteenth Century. The book was also named Best Book of the Year by the North American Victorian Studies Association and was shortlisted for the 2017 London Hellenic Prize.

Prins specializes in nineteenth-century poetry, lyric theory, classical reception studies, and critical translation studies.
