The University of Michigan’s Department of Psychology Diversity Recruitment Weekend 2018 will take place October 25th-27th, 2018.
The Diversity Recruitment Weekend provides promising undergraduate students who have a commitment to diversity with information about graduate school in psychology. The Diversity Recruitment Weekend will consist of a series of workshops, panel discussions, and individual meetings specifically designed to prepare students for the graduate admissions process in psychology as well as introduce students to the graduate psychology programs at the University of Michigan.
If you are interested, please complete the application form by the deadline of August 20, 2018. All applicants will be notified by email on or before September 28 as to whether their applications were accepted. At that time we will begin making travel arrangements for those students whose applications are accepted. Space is limited, so please complete the registration form as soon as possible. Accepted students must be present for all activities.
The Recruitment Weekend includes sessions on writing a successful statement for graduate school, faculty perspectives on doctoral study, and what constitutes a strong application. Students will also met individually with faculty and graduate students at the University of Michigan who share similar research interests. Students will receive an intensive overview of all of the graduate programs in psychology offered at the University of Michigan.
