About

Dr. Schubnell’s research targets the experimental investigation of the nature of dark energy and dark matter. His current focus is on the Dark Energy Spectroscopic Instrument (DESI) project, which determines dark energy parameters through the measurement of baryon acoustic oscillations. Schubnell is the Focal Plane Scientist for DESI and a core member of the instrument and operations teams.

Dr. Schubnell holds an affiliate appointment at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory
