The whole process begins on the Admin side of the website, gotta go down your website's directory until you hit the "People" section, and the particular subsection of people that you want to add to. Then you gotta create a whole new page -- A "Profile Page" in particular -- To add the details of a people profile, need to go to Admin mode > Properties > Profile Details

A news article page should be a child page of the "search news" page. However, not all departments follow this practice. Before you begin work on your departmental site, we encourage you to check in with your colleagues on how your site is organized, or ask the Web Team to help you --- Starting in Admin and working your way thru the directory The template to use is "LSA News Article with Layouting"

What's the problem with 'sticky'?Sticky promotes stories to the homepage and to the top of the news feed. Useful, right? Not really: stories labeled sticky stay that way by default until an editor manually removes the sticky. It's very easy to forget- you have a million things to do! If the 'sticky' box is not unchecked manually, AEM cannot decide which stories to prioritize and news feeds can quickly become disorganized.We suggest:Promote a story by post-dating it. 'Release date' only controls order of stories on the page, not publish date. So if you want to promote a story for two weeks, set the release date at least two weeks in the futureDe-prioritize stories by dating them in the pastSend a ticket (email LSATechnologyServices@umich.edu) requesting your site's admin settings include "automatically remove sticky", and then use sticky. AEM will remove sticky after one week; this is not editableUse 'sticky' but set yourself a reminder to un-sticky the story
