Women's Leadership to End the Korean War

Monday, April 15, 2013
12:00 AM
International Institute, Room 1636

Sixty years after an armistice agreement halted the Korean War, the peninsula remains divided and militarized, with millions of families separated.  Christine Ahn, Visiting Social Activist at U-M’s Center for the Education of Women, will explore the consequences of the unended Korean War and militarization of the peninsula on the lives of women. Join us as Ms. Ahn discusses the strategies women's movements -- in and outside of Korea -- are using to reunite and reclaim the peninsula.

Light refreshments provided.  This event is free, but registration is appreciated:  http://tinyurl.com/Ahn-Korea
