Undergraduate Courses

Every semester, the Women’s and Gender Studies Department offers over fifty undergraduate courses of exceptional scope and quality. Introductory courses allow students to gain familiarity with the methods and approaches of feminist scholarship, while upper-level classes provide in-depth examination of specific topics, ranging from gender and incarceration to race and beauty in American culture. Students also have the opportunity to put feminist activism to work outside of the classroom in practicum courses, and can pursue original research through independent study or the Honors Program
