Narrating Nubia: The Social Lives of Heritage is a project supported by the University of Michigan Humanities Collaboratory that contributes to decolonizing fieldwork practices of cultural anthropologists and archaeologists working in Nubia—a region and ethnolinguistic community spanning southern Egypt and northern Sudan. The team celebrates the conclusion of this three-year collaborative research project with an exhibition, Narrating Nubia, in Room 1019 at the Duderstadt Center Gallery, 2281 Bonisteel  Blvd, on the University of Michigan’s North Campus. The exhibition runs October 3-27, 2023, and is free and open to the public.

The gallery is open in the afternoons from 12:00 pm to 6:00pm on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Sunday.
