2025 UMMAA UNDERGRADUATE AWARDS application cycle colsed on March 7th.
Notification: all applicants should receive their decision by early April 2025.
We invite U-M undergraduates in good academic standing who will be enrolled for at leat one semester after their funded summer project to apply for funding opportunities of up to $3,000 through the Museum of Anthropological Archaeology. These funds are designed to help students participate in a field or research opportunity related to anthropological archaeology. Priority will be given to Anthropology majors/minors who have not previously received Museum of Anthropological Archaeology awards or scholarships.
The online application process requires:
- an online application, which also includes a project description (no more than 500 words), an itemized budget, and an upload of your unofficial U-M transcript in pdf format.
- ONE faculty member or GSI to fill out and submit a recommendation form

If awarded, your award will be credited your account through Wolverine Access. If your account is already fully covered by financial aid (grants, scholarships, loans), the award may reduce the balance of your loans or other aid. Occasionally, awards are credited without proper adjustments, resulting in an improper check or deposit to the student. If this happens, you may be asked by Student Financial Services to return the full amount.
