Food and Beverage Services

May-August

Food and beverage service arrangements must be made with UMBS management and finalized at least two weeks prior to the scheduled start date of your event. All food and beverage served in the UMBS facilities must be prepared by UMBS staff. You may not use the UMBS kitchen. You can choose your meal options from the UMBS standard meal options and will be charged the per-person price. We will try to accommodate the diverse needs of our guests. Non-standard food and beverage menus will be accommodated, if possible, for an additional charge if confirmed no less than two weeks in advance of the event start date.

Serving times for food service, as well as agendas and program schedules, must be established at the time of menu confirmation. Extensions of serving times or programs beyond the agreed upon times may result in additional charges. The final guaranteed number of persons attending the event must be provided at least five business days prior to the event start date. Accurate guaranteed counts of all expected guests and meal designations will help eliminate potential delays and optimize service. The final charge will be based on the guaranteed count or actual number served, whichever is greater.

Requested changes to a guaranteed meal count or designations or adjustments to any menu item within five business days may result in charges for any additional costs incurred. UMBS will consider reasonable requests for changes, but please understand that the UMBS may not be reasonably able to accommodate the requests.

September-April

Because our kitchen is closed during the winter, UMBS cannot offer food and beverage services September-April. Your group will have access to the dorm kitchen where you can prepare and cook meals for your group. Please note that you are responsible for bringing all food, beverages and materials to prepare and eat (including plates, napkins, utensils, etc.).

The dorm kitchen has two sinks, an oven and stove top, refrigerator, and coffee machine. It is also stocked with pots and pans and cleaning supplies. It is expected that your group will keep the kitchen clean and return it to its original state before leaving.
