Living at UMBS

Anyone who has spent time here, says the community is a big part of what makes the Biological Station so special.

This section contains information to help your stay at the Biological Station be a positive one. Our guide to living at the field station addresses many common questions about life at the Station and resources to help support your well-being. All residents are expected to review and follow the Code of Conduct (found under Policies) which outlines how we balance individual rights with the interests of the community as a whole.

Everyone who plans to live at the Biological Station (except students taking classes and REU participants) must fill out a housing application. We advise you to do this at the earliest opportunity. Camp fills up at the height of the season. We assign housing on a first-come, first-served basis.
