Alumni Tim Saucer (BS Astrophysics 2004, PhD Physics 2013) will talk about how he made his transition from working in an ultrafast optics lab into industrial robotics and now autonomous cars. He will give a brief introduction to his background and career, followed by a focused discussion on the hiring process outside of academia. Topics will include the major differences between academia and industry, how to perform a job search, and how to write a winning resume.
