No, this is not a new dance craze! DiSKO stands for the Digital Study of Kelsey Objects, an educational outreach project at the Kelsey Museum that intends to create 3-D models of select objects from our collections. The main goal of the project is to make these teaching and learning resources publicly available online for free, without requiring any special software or equipment to access them.

Join the Kelsey Museum’s director of education, Cathy Person, as she presents the current state of the project, its goals, and its challenges.

Kelsey Museum Flash Talks are 15-minute Zoom lectures by Kelsey curators, staff members, researchers, and graduate students talking about their recent research or current projects. Each presentation is followed by 15 minutes of Q&A. Flash Talks are free and open to all visitors. They take place at noon on the first Friday of every month.

To register for this Flash Talk, fill out the form at https://forms.gle/QYKVQynXC5AxtZ7f6. Zoom log-in information will be provided upon registration. Please sign up by 9:30 AM the day of the event to ensure you receive a confirmation email containing the access code.
